Hana El Samad receives 2013 Allen Distinguished Investigator Award

Hana El Samad's award of $1.43 million was one of five made in 2013 by the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation.  Her proposed project is titled "Untangling the wires: an integrated framework for probing signal encoding and decoding in cellular circuits."  Hana's research aims to elucidate the algorithms cells use to compute and implement responses that enable them to survive and thrive in complex, ever changing environments.
